Tour Logistics

Which restaurants will we visit?

The restaurants we visit vary depending on the tour. You can find specific restaurants on the detailed tour information pages.

What happens if it rains or snows?

Our tours run rain or shine. During winter months it can be quite cold in Santa Fe, so we recommend you wear warm layers, as we spend a significant part of the tour walking outdoors.

How strenuous is the walking?

While our tours are suitable for all fitness levels, you should expect to walk approximately one to one and half miles at a leisurely pace.  Please remember that Santa Fe is 7,000 feet of elevation. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Refunds will not be given for those who are not able to complete the tour route.

What should we bring?

Comfortable walking shoes, your camera, and your appetite!  Depending on the season, your tour confirmation email will include weather-specific recommendations (e.g. umbrella, jacket).

Where should I park?

Parking can be a challenge in Old Town Santa Fe, particularly during the busy summer months.  If you are taking a tour that departs from the Santa Fe Plaza, we recommend parking at the Sandoval Municipal Parking Garage.

If you are taking a tour that departs from the Railyard, we recommend parking at the Railyard Municipal Parking Garage.

We encourage you to take Uber/Lyft to the tour. This way you won’t even have to worry about finding parking! Please note, there is no longer a taxi company in Santa Fe.

Is the tour suitable for children?

While our tours are experience based and highly engaging, the content is not specifically geared towards children. We typically find our tours are suitable for those aged 16 and older, although we may be able to accommodate younger children on a case by case basis.

Can I bring my pet?

We love pets too! However, for health and safety reasons, pets are not allowed on the tours (with the exception of service animals).

What About the Food?

How much food is included?

Our tours provide a generous amount of tasting, and an average eater will leave feeling satiated. However, please keep in mind that our focus is on quality, not necessarily quantity. We prioritize local, freshly prepared and organic where possible.

If you're worried about whether it's too much food, keep in mind that the food tastings are spread out over three to four hours. Our goal is for everyone to leave feeling satisfied, not stuffed.

I'm a vegetarian - will I be able to eat the food on the tour?

Yes! A vegetarian alternative can be offered at all of our tour stops (but not vegan).

What if I have food allergies?

You will have the opportunity to indicate any food allergies when you make your booking. The only food allergy we are able to accommodate is gluten free. If you've already bought tickets but did not indicate an allergy, please email us at bookings@wandernm.com to update your preferences.

For all other allergies, while we will do our best to make appropriate substitutions where they are available, we cannot always guarantee that a substitution will be available.
